Despite being unseeded, Dan should hope to go deep here, semis at least I hope.

Dan is third match on centre  today with play starting at 10.00am local (they're one hour ahead). I wasn't able to see any of his efforts down under, so I'm looking forward to watching.

Not often you play Federer in a Grand Slam followed by an unranked wild card!!

Kouzmine is a Russian origin French player, at IMG Flordia for a year, only just turned 20, claims his victory over Ed Corrie at Plaisir was one of his 'career' highlights, has won 3 (I think) 15ks, but lost to Aidan in the final in Kuwait a couple of months ago.
He was ATP 520 or so before the change in system, which seems a fair reflection. But certainly no hidden gem. Dan should win pretty easily.

NB And just to add that Dan is ATP 163 this morning smile

Dan won 4 matches in his last tournament and won around 60k Sterling.  If he repeats the feat  and wins 4 matches this week, he'll only get 1k.

Well, the result wasn't ever really in doubt but Dan certainly made that look easy..... winning the second set to love.

All too easy in the end as Dan wins 3&0. Not that I am complaining of course.
