The kind of matches Jay needs to win if he is serious about a career to be honest.

Definitely no Akira Santillan:

L32:  (15) Jay Clarke WR 212 vs (Q) Yuta Shimizu (JPN) WR 486 (CH = 345 last October)

The Japanese went through after Santillan retired at 4-6 2-3.

Jay had 5-2*, but has just been broken serving for the set, so back on serve at 5-4*

Jay up to 205 in live rankings, one more win would take him top 200, however Ito is a different level to his last opponent and will be tough. Still a decent week so far

Maybe rather surprisingly bet365 have Jay as a very slight favorite vs Ito. 4/5 vs 10/11
