Worth mentioning that young Alicia Dudeney (who's had some excellent junior results) ran Alicia terribly close in round 2, winning the first set 6-2 before only just losing the second 5-7, and then the third 3-6

Hope Lissey is ok there... a final between her and Mariam would have been an interesting one. Lissey and Freya are both due to play a W25 in Russia this coming week, so am wondering whether she will make it there now. Currently she is 3rd on the q list and Freya 5th.

Young Kristina Paskausas (born June 2004) is one player I'm keeping an eye on and have hopes for.

She beat Bella Moen today in two sets, at Billesley.

Lilly Mould has beaten Tiegan Aitken in an epic three setter.

I've a lot of time for Lilly - I like her tennis.

(Haven't seen Tiegan, though)

Milly Bissett lost very easily, although she had a long, tough match yesterday so might have been tired.

However, I am not a fan of Milly (she's a nice player but over-hyped, in my view, rather like Indy Spink, although I realise she's pretty young and has quite a lot of growing to do)

Elise van Meeteren beat the second seed and Grace Eland got the win too.

Very happy as both Kristina and Lilly (see above) have made it to the semis. They'll now play each other.

Amelia Rajecki beat top seed, Anna Popescu, 6-1 6-1.

Amelia, some may remember, is the 2002-er who was given a 'surprise' (to this board) wildcard into Roehampton G1 MD.

I saw a little of her there, and was not overly impressed but basically neutral, jury still out.
