Good that Jodie is straight back to business rather than dwelling on what might have been last week. She is clear favourite at the bookies tonight (1/9 vs 5/1) so hopefully can advance further. Her match is 11pm UK time, 2 of the 5 qualifying matches are being streamed, but unfortunately Jodie's isn't one of them.

11 aces is encouraging. We could do with a few good servers in the younger players coming through.

Canberra is like Hull or Grimsby. Or Dundee as a Scottish equivalent.

as it's inland it's like none of them, having been purpose built after independence it's probably closest to Milton Keynes

Youve missed my point. I know all about it as I lived there, no need for a history lesson. Its bleak is what I meant. Stops Melbourne and Sydney folk arguing over what should be the capital. (Should really be Melbourne In my opinion)

No need either to be so bolshy. I admit I too wondered about what you meant in Canberra being like these places.

Seems so often when there might just conceivably be any perceived question re your knowledge ( even if not remotely meant ) be it like this or say how LLs work we get something like this so unnecessarily in response ...

Ok I understand now Indiana, Im bolshy, allowed to be incorrectly patronised as above there, as well as my knowledge and being doubted and interrogated. Im also not allowed to speak about doubles, raise any debate, or have a dry sense of humour.

First 2 service games were comfortable, dropping just 1 point, but had to fend off a BP on her 3rd. The Aussie held to 40 on her first 2, but was then broken despite having a couple game points.

While I'm typing this, Jodie is 40-0 on serve and has just held to love with her 4th ace.
