Good to see Aswin back in circulation.

Aswin did recover one service break in the second set.  I imagine the step-up to Challenger level proved a bit of a shock to the system.

At least 2 lucky loser spots as well so will be unlucky if he isnt present in the main draw.

Will need Tommy Paul to win his tie if Lloyd ends up hoping for LL place. The 4 players in the other FQR ties all have a better ranking than Lloyd.

Would it be 2 from the best 3 ranked losers if 2 LL places or what?

Its a minimum of 2 at the moment. So the point stands. Fully aware of how it works, he should qualify regardless of needing a LL.

Nuno is the best player in College tennis on the mens side, has been since he arrived plays and dominates the toughest conference ie the SEC for Mississippi State, presently ITA National doubles and singles champion, NCAA runner up he is in his junior year and an academic all American (the first to be named in the ITA all star team and an academic all American) so may well finish off his studies. Lloyd may well have his work cut out, I can see Nuno making some progress in the main draw

Thanks Oakland for such context. I see that Borges was JWR 44 at age 18 in 2015 and he has clearly been an extremely good college player.

Looking at his ITF activity he has had quite a lot of futures success from limited appearances - through June to August in singles he won one Portugal futures title and was runner-up in three others. And a couple of weeks ago in the US futures he beat Jack F-H 2& 3 before losing a QF to Andrew Watson in two TBs.

I can see why you think that Lloyd may well have his work cut out.
