Just 2 qualifying rounds so Eliz and Olivia are straight to the FQR and will play for a place in the MD,

That's a shame. Nice they both got one of the eleven byes, pity they are drawn together, given such a week tournament with unranked players in the main draw.

And Olivia is #4 on the qualifying list showing and I don't see #1, 2 or 3 in the qualifying draw so it would appear that she ended up top of that list and just missed out on the MD.

First alt if anyone wants to pull out ...

Olivia is no longer in the Q draw so Eliz gets two byes through to the main draw.

That all worked out rather well so far.

It will be better if either can pick up a win, but I'm not convinced either will.

Eliz is trying hard to prove you wrong smile

Lost the first 4-6

But won the second 6-3 and is leading 2-0 in the third.....

5-2* in the third, although probably soon to be 5-3. This would be a great win.

Far play to Eliz. She was a decent junior, but I'm not sure what has happened in the last couple of years. Not gone the US college route.
Olivia Elliott was useful at 14/15, but has not progressed.
