How often do we see a player overcome a more highly ranked opponent in qualies only to fall flat on his arse when presented with a rematch, for whatever reason, in the same tournament? That, of course, presupposes that Brydan beats Janvier in the next match on the same court...
That's a super win for Evan and his very lowly ranked partner. Especially as they only sneaked through their R1 match 11-9.
A semi-final in a challenger begins to give some decent points and even passable prize money.
