Yasmina did eventually win a game - the 11th one. The WC is still an enigma though, and the result isn't that surprising given her lack of experience at ITF level
R32: (WC) Yasmina El SYED (GBR) UNR LOST TO Federica DI SARRA (ITA) 401 0-6 1-6
This event has just been won by 17 year old Slovenian Kaja Juvan, who after dropping the first set, won the next 2 sets 6-1 6-2. She's going a lot more under the radar than some of the others in her age group, but is having a fantastic past 6 months and should now be up to about 172 in the rankings, just a few points behind Katie Swan. She won the Youth Olympics in Argentina a couple of weeks ago and since May has now won 4 25k titles, reached the final of 2 other 25k events as well as another 25k SF and a 60k QF, mostly on clay.
