QF:  (1) Kyle Edmund WR 15 "defeated" (Q) Ilya Ivashka (BLR) WR 97 by a walkover  smile

As Indy said, jammy sod!  biggrin

******

SF:  (1) Kyle Edmund WR 15 vs (4) Richard Gasquet (FRA) WR 28 (CH = 7 in July 2007)

As has already been pointed out, the head-to-head is 2-1 in Kyle's favour.

Monfils awaits the winner having beaten Schwartzman in straight sets.

I see he is 4-1 up.  Is there a link to watch this on?

Impressive first set by Kyle. 6-3. Just the one break but serving very well, 11 aces.

I'm just watching on Bet365 zoomed in. There's no commentary for this event, although I caught a bit of Sandgren-Isner last night and there was then, so not sure what the rights deal is.

I prefer women's tennis but we are spoilt with BT's coverage, it's unprecedented. The other week they were providing full coverage of 3 WTA 250 equivalents in the same week. I really hope they extend their deal which expires at the end of the 2019 season.

Well now, barring an absolute epic come back from Ritchie / choke from Kyle, looks like our man will be in his 2nd (is that correct?) 250 singles final. Fingers crossed he can win this one!

Big Rich saves 2 consecutive MPs, 6-4 5-3*

Gasquest holds so Kyle will have to serve for it. *5-4.

Not looked like being broken for a while, so hopefully not now.

OK, Gasquet's now 32 & past his best, but does he still rank as a Challenger player in your book, jaggy?

*****

Final:  (1) Kyle Edmund WR 15 vs (6) Gaël Monfils (FRA) WR 38 (CH = 6 in November 2016)

And what about Monfils?
