oh dear - i see another one of our good posters and nice people, ABB, seems to have also deleted their account.
I am not sure where these haters come from and who appears to be abusing these people, it would be nice to have them stop it.
In fact, if they are brave enough bring it on and have a go at me - i am waiting and happy to take all they have to offer...let us see how brave they really are.

I feel left with more questions than answers and "inexplicable" was a word I noted in the linked thread re blob and comes to my mind again while of course condemning any private abuse ( I noted public debates / disagreements during yesterday but nothing that I saw as crossing any limits ).
But indeed, some great contributions and best wishes and best health for the future. The women's section in particular will be much poorer for your absence.

I saw the health comment but the fact ABB comment referred to the abuse thread suggested that abuse was also the reason they are leaving, at least that is what I read into it.

Yes, I agree re the thread yesterday, there was nothing that crossed the line in general terms. But some people find public debates/disagreements also quite draining (I guess the best is for those people to avoid them but it's not always easy).
(And private hate attacks (if that is what it was) is a separate nasty insidious thing, also to be ignored, but also far easier said than done).
But the important thing is to do what you need to do for your own well-being. And it's only each individual, given their own circumstances, who can know what that is.
I have looked back at it too and there was some baiting on the US Open thread. I dont know whether there is the potential for some subtle moderation or DM ing, you cant change some peoples minds and the temptation to try and have the last word often results in tit for tat expression of frustration.
Overall the discussion was fascinating and ABB did put an interesting context on why Serena may have got so irate often the most heated arguments are about miscommunication that get completely out of control leading to something completely different. It would be a great shame to loose ABB, we have already lost Blob and Jared all provide a real depth of knowledge, understanding and detail in different areas.
Just one last think. Given its phenomal success this year more Qualifying Wimbledon wildcards for juniors next year non for players over 26 they have to get in by rank!
