And a nice SF win for young James Story (born 2001) and young Connor Thomson (born 2001) in the doubles.

Well done to Mike Shaw and George Davies too

Another good win for Mr Draper, the boys doing well!

I see Finn is off to the USA to join Baylor in January baylorbears.com/news/2018/8/28/baylor-mens-tennis-signs-bass-to-national-letter-of-intent.aspx

But Aidan and Lloyd lost easily so Story and Thomson will play Bellier and Crepatte in the final

The Swede who beat Isaac Stoute and, just, beat Josh Paris yesterday has made it through to the final, easily.

Jack looks like he's racing through to the final at the moment: 6-1, 4-1 against Mark Whitehouse.

Interrupted at that 6-1 4-1 score to Jack.

The lad is certainly on a roll and with a week off after this and then a couple of Nigerian 25+Hs, while of course the long term is very much what matters, who knows where he is heading in the short term in the rankings as a 16 yo.

Jack now 5-2 and 30-0 up in 2nd set - scoreboard unstuck perhaps!

Jack gets there on his 6th MP, 6-1 6-3

He had one MP at 5-1*, another at *5-2 when he then served 2 successive DFs ( just his 2nd and 3rd of the match ) and then 4 MPS in all at 5-3*. Hey, more experience banked than if he had just sailed through on his first MP.

What a good effort by the two kids.

Shame they didn't get it, but a great battle.

They came back from 6-7 0-3* double break down, having not broken up to then, and got it back on serve at 4-3* before going on to take that second set on the TB.
