It was mentioned yesterday in the Ceuta thread, that the MD + qualifiers added up to 32 so a qual draw might not be necessary. As Red Squirrel noted entries are open for players to turn up before the deadline, and indeed the event seems to have attracted an additional cast of characters, including the Pitak sisters, who were not in the draw. Emilie Lindh was, but is not in the qual line up, so with luck has been given a MD WC. The entry list itself has been taken down with all the late arrivals. There is just one qualifying round.

I did wonder if Emilie might pass on this after her singles and doubles in Spain. But yes good chances of more points if she has travelled and is in the main draw.

Yes, it's hard to tell. However, there are still 4 WC places here, and since the only two Georgians in the qual entry list are not in the q draw, that leaves 2 WCs still to be allocated. So it is possible Emilie has one of those, if she has still decided to travel. This tournament certainly provides opportunities with the top ranked player on the entry list only at 728. As also mentioned in the Ceuta thread, if this was in a week's time (once her ranking is out), Emilie would be seeded here.
I suspect getting from Ceuta to Batumi would have been quite difficult, if not impossible, in the time available. It looks like it would involve a ferry back to mainland Spain, road to an airport then multiple flights.
And it is only the Pitaks in the MD, Emilie has not made it to Batumi. Kasia has unfortunately picked out one of the few better ranked players. Ola has a much more promising opportunity. Both sisters currently have 1 counter each.
