Anna Popescu was listed in the qualifiers but has now been moved into the last place in the main draw.

16 in qualifying , Helena seems to have just missed out on the main draw. She is 22nd on the entry list (=Q2), and the one above her isn't in qualifying

Helena couln't keep up the level, losing 4-6 0-6. But the performance in the first set was pretty impressive.
In the whole match she managed to earn 10 break points (although only taking one) and saved 7 out of 12 against her.

Second set went slightly more as might have been reasonably expected.

These the sorts of encounters we'll not see much of next year.

Anna ended up losing the 1st set 7-5 but is keeping her hopes of getting a 3rd counter alive with an early break in the 2nd to lead *2-0.

She has managed five breaks of the Cambodian serve in the match though.
