Katie and Manisha won their matches today, Naomi and Stephanie both lost. Most of the better known pros won easily. But the scoreboard has been frozen for the last couple of hours with some doubles matches in progress.

Great to see so many good players enjoying their team tennis, both men and women. Explains why there are comparatively few ITF entries too.
Sam and Freya in the same team is certainly a pretty scary prospect

Sam and Freya teamed up for doubles not surprisingly. Result - three wins for the loss of just two games in total (tut tut Freya, a breadstick in your sigles and doubles)

In the semi-finals, singles wins for Lucy Brown, Mae McCutcheon, Freya Christie and Sam Murray leave Edgebaston and Holcombe level after the singles.

In the other semi, wins for Aimee Gibson, Danielle Daley and Beth Grey for Wilton put them in front against Raynes Park who had the one win for Katie O'Brien.

All down to the doubles

Edit: - singles results updated

Ah, this is nostalgic.... If there's one player I'd love to see make a comeback, it's KO'B :)

Wilton are going for their fourth consecutive victory. The run started in 2015 when Wilton defeated Holcombe Brook after a thrilling tie break shoot out. Several of the same players will be in action in the 2018 final.

It was Loughborough who defeated Blackhall- after a tie break shoot out. West Hants did not qualify this year.

Correct - I have no idea why I typed that. West Hants is the name of the club hosting these finals !

So Wilton retain the title for the fourth year.
(Doubles not played, as result already decided)
