Good news!

Exciting times, and hopefully lots more chance to showcase the talent soon, after fully recovering.

Eden Silva has had to retire in her semi at Sutton. (and her doubles pair withdrew yesterday too).

So Ella is through to the final, which will be a nice pay day.

Hope you're better soon, Eden.

Eden and Freya are top seeds in the doubles, and only Ella partnering Olivia Elliott will give them any real opposition.

Eden is also too seed with Sean Hodkin in the mixed, with Olivia + Adam Jones seeded 2.

Will Eden do a clean sweep, or can Freya take the singles ? Matches start in Wednesday.

Good to see a thread for this event. I predict that Vic Allen and Danielle Daley will reaches the dubs final!

 Great prediction, telstar smile

And Freya beat Vic Allen 0&1 so it's Freya v Ella in the women's singles final

Thanks for the updates CD. I haven't been able to follow this tournament closely this week.

Pity about the rash of retirements in the QFs and SF, it seems to have spoilt some intriguing match ups, including the potential Freya vs Eden final.

There was only two. It's not that many really. We knew Eden had a problem, following the 25ks, so it was always likely that she would have an issue.
But, yes, shame not to see her and Sasha out there fighting fit.

Vic Allen wins the 'best overall performance by a junior' award, making the semis. But maybe not 'best junior performance' as she's born 2001.

I think 'Best performance by a junior' should probably go to Jasmine Conway or maybe Alicia Dudeney, as both made the quarters, and are born in Dec. 2004 and May 2003 respectively. And first actual pay cheques that they've picked up, I assume, so well done to them !

Three retirements CD - Sonay and Sasha in the QFs and then Eden in the SF, that's 3 retirements in 6 matches = 50%! But yes some good performances from the juniors notwithstanding.

Yes, sorry Michael, miscounted, you're right.

Sonay has had some quite nasty injury issues, I believe, hope this was something minor.

Presumably Sonay is fine coz she won the dubs title....

In the all-junior final:

WOMEN'S DUBS FINAL: Sonay Kartal + Erin Richardson def. Danielle Daley + Victoria Allen 6-4 1-6 10-6
