Perhaps not so lousy - Rieder has just one ranking point, from last September, although has been playing qualies regularly this year.
Anyway, Greg is 1-2* after just 12 minutes, having lost the opening game.
Unfortunately, just too tough an assignment on heavy clay against a good Italian player. Even 10 years ago it would have been a struggle, but better to play and lose than not at all!
