It may have been noted elsewhere but since Lissey doesn't have a thread yet, and her career is improving, here is the interesting Big Racket interview that Steven has tweeted a link to. With no sponsors Lissey has done well to get as far as she has, with her college career playing no small role in this, and may she continue to rise in the rankings following her confidence building run at Gatineau.

Well done to Lissey. Who is, today, +17 to WTA 453. A career high.

13th in the list of UK women.

Great to see her battle on. Proving a lot of the doubters wrong. A good product of college tennis. And, by all accounts, a lovely person too.

I am so pleased for Lissey. I have known her for years and she is definitely one of the nicest people you could wish to meet.

I hadn't really heard of Lissey before the Progress Tour which she helped organise but she seemed really impressive in interviews. I believe she just missed out on the ITF player panel earlier in the year and can see her rising in the admin side of the game in future.

Lots of articles about Fran Jones having EED, I only just noticed Lissey seems to have a Coloboma in her left eye. Does it effect her vision at all?

Interesting that her heart still seems to be in singles but I guess results are dictating her career path now.

Congrats to Lissey -

An excellent WTA 250 title, at Granby, with Olivia Nicholls (and an ITF100k one at the start of August)

And now up 17 places to WTA 69, she's GB's top doubles player
