I note that the qualifier who put out Mason, but quite closely, 6-4 7-5, in the FQR, has now got all the way through to the semis....

OK, so the unranked qualifier Sam Brosset has now annoyed me even more by going all the way to claim the title, beating the top seed in two sets in the final.

Jolly good for him, and all that, I say begrudgingly, but makes you think how close Mason came......
