Good to see the Challenger level mens team all in one place and playing in the same event en masse. Will help with practice, driving each other on etc. Good to see who comes out well over the hardcourt swing.

Also they can share the costs of having traveling coaches.
I've heard it suggested before that many of the girls pretty much put down their priorities in random order.
Do have to then be careful though that you watch things around entry finalising date so that you don't end up down for somewhere that you don't really want to be.
Assuming Katie Boulter skips Woking, not one GB girl remaining in Woking draw and very few likely to make qualifying.
The LTA may have to change their strategy yet again.
Gabi is still no 9 on the acceptance list, although it is her second choice after Lexington, where she is currently 15th. But the next on the list is currently Maia, who is down at 17th alt. Withdrawal deadline tomorrow - it'll all change !
Gabi has withdrawn from Woking now. It's just Katie who is left in the MD, and she is still in 3 draws, so needs to make her decision fast now, otherwise she'll end up in Fort Worth, which I doubt is where she wants to be...
Katie has withdrawn her extra entries, so is lined up for Lexington.
Maia is now first alt for Woking, so with still time to go before the deadline is certain to get into qualifying. Next on the list is Jodie at A13.

Hmmm no, the a. Katie B has withdrawn from both the US tournaments and is now lined up to be the top seed in Woking, at least on the ITF website she is. I'm surprised she has still remained entered in the 25k tournament.
Gabi is now the top Brit entrant in Lexington #11 on the entry list. Katy D is also a direct entry, but Harriet has withdrawn. There are still some Brits further down the alt list; most are also still on the Woking alt list.
Edit: Except now my ITF site for Woking has updated too... and Katie B is now gone too... so is now on none of the ITF entry lists for this week... Maybe she is joining Katie S in Washington?

I just checked the acceptance lists again on the ITF website, and indeed, she has gone from Lexington as well since I posted.
Yes, the lists are a moving feast at the moment, I guess because it is the last day for withdrawals. The Woking list has changed 3 times since I first looked at it this morning. Maia is now bottom of the qualifying list, having moved up from 1st alt, as you reported. When I first looked about 30 mins ago, she was only 5th alt!
