Tara is also playing with Chanel Simmonds (RSA) in the doubles. Their first round match is up today, Tara's first round singles won't be until tomorrow. The Q3 matches are only happening today.

A lot of people seem very upset all around me. Look, I know Tara has just dropped the first set, guys, but she can get it back! 3-6

Tara levels it back up. Can she secure the winner in extra time? 3-6 7-5

A very weak $60K and an excellent draw, but Tara is struggling.
This is horrible scheduling for Tara, as we know just how massive of a footie fan she is, she must be gutted and empty
3-6 7-5 *1-4

R32: Tara MOORE (GBR) 395 lost to Catherine HARRISON (USA) [Q] 1137 (CH:770 July 17) by 6-3 5-7 6-3

She gives herself such a handicap with all these DFs. 18 DFs in 15 service games today. First serves in 46/88 (52%). Second serves in 24/42 (57%).

Id be an advocate for under arm serving in this example. 18 Doubles is just awful. Maybe a sort of forehand smash serve. You sometimes see top club players doing that.

It almost sounds like the yips in golf. Tara regularly has this problem. Maybe needs some hypnosis!

Tara currently has the curse of  "GB no. 10". Once somebody else steps up she'll be OK. wink

No joy here, even in doubles, as Tara & Chanel lost a close MTB to Arconada/Bektas, 3-6 6-4 [8-10]
