Winnipeg MD out now too. Sam has a very tough match against Marino who had not ranking at the beginning of the year, but has regained it the hard way. Freya has a tough match too. Jodie plays a qualifier, now added.

Astra is the most recent NCAA singles champion, interestingly at 18 I would have said Freya was too good for college.

In the doubles Lissey plays with Shelby Talcott (USA), Sam plays with Erika Sema (JPN), and Jodie and Freya are playing together.

Jodie and Freya first up today and have been taken out 4-6 0-6 by the 4th seeds.

The other two pairs with Brits in are also today, their singles will start tomorrow.

Good wins for Lissey and Shelby, Sam and Erika. I'm impressed though by the names of Sam +'s opponents today. smile Tougher matches next up.

First Winnipeg singles result, Sam loses 4-6 4-6 to the resurgent Rebecca Marino. In the second set Sam was 4-2 up, then proceeded to lose 13 pts in a row in a hasty demise.
