The doubles MD is also out, since it starts tomorrow following the final q matches. Emily A has a different partner this week, and Beth is partnering with Oliva.
R16: Emily ARBUTHNOTT/ Helene SCHOLSEN (GBR/BEL) 979 (551+428) vs Aliona BOLSOVA ZADOINOV/ Ana Sofia SANCHEZ (ESP/MEX) 700 (439+261)
R16: Sarah Beth GREY/ Olivia NICHOLLS (GBR/GBR) 483 (224+259) vs Tayisiya MORDERGER/ Yana MORDERGER (GER/GER) 910 (455+455)
Yes, I think Emily was indeed lucky to get into the MD, and she's going to need to play a whole lot better to have any chance in this first round match. Allie won the 25k tournament in Sweden last week, where Emily lost again in the first round.
Beth and Olivia have won their first round doubles. They conceded the first set, but thereafter seem to have taken control of the match pretty comfortably. Emily's doubles result is not yet in. Livescores is not functioning today in Denain, so the results can only be seen once they are (eventually) posted.
In the QF, Beth and Olivia will take on the 2nd seeds.
R16: Sarah Beth GREY/ Olivia NICHOLLS (GBR/GBR) 483 (224+259) beat Tayisiya MORDERGER/ Yana MORDERGER (GER/GER) 910 (455+455) 4-6 6-1 10-4
QF: Sarah Beth GREY/ Olivia NICHOLLS (GBR/GBR) 483 (224+259) vs Momoko KOBORI/ Ayano SHIMIZU (JPN/JPN) [2] 361 (174+187)
Yes, I see I've jumped a bit too soon, Peter. The 218 is with her last week's points added, which will only be post-Wimbledon of course, plus what she gains this week. I will change it back.
