Emilie LG was on the alt list for this event, but down near the bottom. I still find it incredible that someone who has 6 WTA points has no national status anywhere.

Yes, I had noted her entry, right down at A31. Amelia was at A8 - haven't looked to see the lowest entry, but the 48 draw is full.

In the end it seems that those players who turned up played, so I guess Emilie did not turn up. Helena JF also did not play/ turn up, and her replacement - Natasha Fourouclas, who was near the bottom of the Alt list, won 6-0 6-0! Another Greek woman, Anastasia Rentouli, who was also below Emilie in the Alt list also played and won her QR1 match with a double bagel.. I didn't check any others, but evidence enough.

Amelia lost unfortunately 2-6 3-6, and Joanna's result is not in yet.

Difficult one when she was so far down the alts list. But really hope Emilie can get that 3rd counter soon.

I have no idea what's involved but yes very strange that she hasn't / can't get a national ranking anywhere.

Emilie has an LTA rating of 10.2 - i.e. what you get given when you join up. And hasn't played in any LTA events, although showing as Hampshire and IOW. I'm not sure where she's based, but perhaps she outght to do a couple of British Tour events and get a national ranking at least.

Yes. She could easily get a Spanish or French one too.

There are zillions of money tournaments in Spain and France at the moment.
