Our big 3 pairings of the Skupski's, Jamie/bruno and Dom/Franko got decent enough draws. Joe and Freddie could be v tough I feel, Jay and Cam and Liam and Scott winnable.

Apart from Luke and Jonny, not too bad alround for a GS event.

Ken and Neal two sets up, comfortable start. Always get caught out with best of 5 mens doubles these days, it must be a big change for the players from playing 2sets and a tb at most for the rest of the tour.

IMO it is rather OTT to still play best of 5 men's doubles here. Best of 3 normal sets would be perfectly sufficient and still distinguish it from what they play most of the rest of the year.

But I guess for Wimbledon tradition sometimes comes ahead of such things as sense for current times and helping interest folk in doubles. I doubt a potential 5 set doubles has folk rushing for the queue.

Anyway, see it home in 3, Ken and Neal.

Or, conceivably, best of three normal sets up to & including  the semis, then best of five in the final?

I confess that I quite enjoy it, too.  I was playing devil's advocate in my reply to Indy.  wink

The first of the men's doubles seeds are out:  Dodig & Ram (10) beaten in straight sets by Robin Haase & Robert Lindstedt.
