Gabi and Katie B have been announced as Southsea wild cards. Hopefully Heather, Katie S and Harriet have wild cards here.

There's actually 3 byes here. I know it's partly to do with the new rule change, but that a lot of players missing out on at least a point, some cash and a chance to play in a WTA Premier.

 Arruabarrena played in Majorca (on grass), I thought I'd seen her recently, won against Carla S-N (R1), but lost to Stosur.

Maia or Emma couldn't as there's a new rule this year that you can't play in another tournament the same week as GS qualies. But yes with three byes anyone who's not at Wimbly qualies or still in the play-off could have.

With the main draw starting on Sunday, if Harriet reaches the final in Ilkley will she still be allowed to play here?

Yes - they don't play all of the first round on Sunday

Thanks. I realised the first round was over multiple days, it was more the rule that players had to be available on the first day of a tournament unless they were competing on the final day of a tournament that finished the day before that raised the question.
