These are entry lists, not draws, so subject to change. I'll be surprised if Andy doesn't drop out. I reckon there would have been a lot more hype if he was really going to mave made his comeback at Queens.

Whoops! Big booboo there! At least I got it right for the doubles!
WOUld it not arguably be better for Dan to play ilkley than Queens as for him its all about getting as many points as possible during this grass court season to get a decent ranking. To hopefully be able to enter the hard court stuff in America. Getting A WC here and pulling out Novak in round 1 surely wont be that beneficial.

From a purely mathematical point of view, I would agree with you. But Dan is somebody who is inspired by the big stage and I think an early taste of that for him would be a huge motivation. It may mean a tough draw and possibly no points, but purely from a psychological viewpoint and the sense of being at the top table again, I think playing Queens would be better for Dan.
Yes, but my point is that his ranking will only get him into Wimby play off sright now and the LTA aren't exactly being forthcoming, at least in public about whether he will need to miss both Queens and Ilkley to play in the QWC play offs.
I think the Wimbledon WCs will be publicly announced next Wednesday 20/06 ( maybe Tuesday ) with the play-offs on Thursday and Friday.
Potential play-off players can play in other tournaments, just might have a decision to make later in the week if still involved. It's not a clash that I recall, particularly with Queens! Though I still can't get my head around any possibility that Dan will be near the play-offs.

I'm with Bob, try and get as many points available in a 'short' grass court season so that he can avoid having to qualify /play seeds in early rounds throughout the rest of the year. I doubt he would be motivated to play in ITF events for long
So if he can get entry into Queens or Ilkley, he'd have to vut the week short if he isn't given a WC of some description?
Yes, I guess I added my edit after your post. Or he could of course say **** Wimbledon play-offs.
Yes, I think our paths crossed there.
Although I agree with that sentiment, there are loadsa of points if he can make it through a few rounds of a GS, so probably worth the gamble, he should walk the play offs and qualies if the excessive playing doesn't give him an injury. Good old LTA!
For US Open he'd need to be around say WR110/490 points for main draw, and WR220/260 points for qualifying. Well he has 73 points already, so it won't take many wins to accumulate another 200, and the way he is playing right now he could easily get a lot more. I really hope he gets a WC or QWC and plays Ilkley rather than Queens where he can get more match practice rather than what will inevitably a tough draw at Queens with such a strong field.
Dan will have been given the nod privately that he's at least for q qwc for wimbledon and therefore can play one of Queens or ilkley next week. I suspect they'll see how this week goes before deciding which he plays next week. If he does really well and gets to a challenger final, precedent says they'll upgrade that to a Main draw wc for wimbledon. Wardy is suspect is equally in the balance although I think md wc more likely. But for Queens / ilkley I suspect they'll leave as late as they can this week to decide
