Enough is enough, and this must be put to a poll,

He has served his time and now needs a helping hand.

I'd say start with a qualifying WC for suriton and see what happens, then maybe some MDWC's

Yes, I would also have gone for a more nuanced voting option of that nature, especially with Dan having still some way to go to attain the match fitness levels he needs (including by his own admission).

Only to Q. He has a lot to prove and by being willing to work his way back through qualifying for events goes a long way towards that. Similar situation to Sharapova, who took every wildcard going to get her ranking up, which came across to me as incredibly privileged and arrogant. Okay, cocaine isnt performance enhancing, but still not a good look for anyone, especially for a professional sports person.

"Other" for the reasons others have given.

To certain extent I agree with QWC and it is more than likely he will come through and qualify for a MD place. However , if you look at it from the other qualifiers perspective, by not giving him a MD WC you are in effect taking away the opportunity for another player to come through qualifying.

...but you are also giving out the MDWC that would have gone to Dan to someone else. I

i voted for QWC. Comeback looking pretty good so far but still has to prove himself especially at ATP level.

Depends on the event. Mixture of MD and Q for for Challenger. ATP level Q would be more beneficial as to where his game is currently. Going by his withdrawal to the North Oxford British tour event I assume that means hes in line for WC to either the WC playoff or Wimbledon Qs. I hope they give him a direct WC to Wimbledon Q rather than the playoff route as that will just stop other British players. Id be surprised if he got a Wimbledon main draw WC.

I'd definitely give him a MD WC for Wimby, no way we've got 8 better prospects of a 1st round win than him. He should get MD WCs after Liam, Jay and James Ward have got entered into events, possibly Alex Ward, but cant think of anyone else who deserves one above him, and we want him back up those rankings.

He WILL get a MDWC for Wimbledon.

Happy to live and die by the sword on this one.
