It's all a matter of opinion but one or two of the answers back up what I said the other day:-

''As a relatively new member on here,one of the things I have noticed is how a few people are churlish in their praise towards Harriet yet all over one or two of the others like a rash.I know it's called favoritism but....''

I know my knowledge of tennis is nothing like as extensive as many others but that's what I think.....

I missed that post the other day and assume now that you were asking the 'by whom' genuinely rather than in a questioning manner.

For what it's worth, I actually prefer Harriet to Katie (I like both) and love how she has really burst on to the scene this year after a bit of stagnation and some of her tournament runs and individual matches have been superb. She's now beaten Taylor, Boulter and Swan in a period of about a month and if a Wimbledon WC was going to come down to either her or Swan, then I'd prefer Harriet to get it, but the original point does still stand, whoever you prefer or currently rate higher is subjective, but with the junior pedigree and the other aforementioned indicators, Katie has always been more highly touted by both the LTA and the wider general tennis community. Who goes on the have the better career remains to be seen.

Harriet Dart suffered a heart-breaking loss in her semi-final against Conny Perrin in the opening match on Centre Court. The London-based player served for the match twice and held three match points before succumbing to her Swiss opponent 36 62 76(5).

I knew it would be tough again today, every Brit is really good on grass. It was not easy but I kept fighting and doing my best and Im really happy I got through again, said Perrin, who has needed three sets to prevail in all four of her matches this week.

Some so called top prospects fulfil their initial promise and some don't. Hopefully it will be the former with KS but time will tell

Riske 6-2 5-1* now so should be in the bag.

Hopefully a Surbiton F isn't enough for Perrin to get a Wimbledon WC. She's 27 and basically a journeywomen so from my POV, it would be a bit of a shame - I'd far rather the likes of Liu got one. I know she has beaten 2 of our likely WCs on the way, but I'd much rather they prioritised one of our girls over a run to a 100k final where her highest rank win was against Rodina who is badly out of form and has only won 4 of their last 16 matches.

Conny's on the Wimbledon qualifying list. Having lost the final here I can't begin to think that she is a possible MD WC.

What a cracking six months for Gaby and Harriet!! Hopefully just the beginning of a prolific summer for both. Katie Swan ticking along quietly just behind them along with Gaby about to make the top 20 cohorts not yet 20 (217) and 21 (165) respectively. When last posted on

tennisabstract.com/reports/rankingsByAgeWta.html on the 28/5/2018 so Gaby May well be there

Harriet has a way to go in the those not yet 22 at 125 and needs to get her skates on as she moves up a cohort in July to those not yet 23 which sits at 97.
