That's a shame, looks a good effort though. Khumkum is down a set and a break in the other semi final so that would have been a great opening for her.

Pity, especially considering how close she got with her serve today - 4 aces, 5 DFs, 58% first serves in.

Shame she lost but a close run thing against an in form player. Hopefully she can keep this up now.

If i remember correctly Naomi had a very disappointing grass season last year so if she can build momentum over the next month grass should be a good place again.

It is less shabby than I thought it might be. Naomi has 130 pts to defend in June - 55 for reaching the L16 of the Birmingham WTA Premier; 50 for SF Manchester 100k; and 25 for QF Surbiton 100k. Wimbledon (early July) she was knocked out in the first round (10 pts).

Still, she would certainly hope to improve on that total UK grass court points tally this year, if we include Wimbledon in it.

Yes I had that in mind too about Naomi. But think it was still 2016 on my mind when she didn't win a grass court match, if to be fair vs Hsieh, Gavrilova, Puig and Svitolina.
