I noticed on live rankings, they have a new list called the ITF ranking which is appearing only on their WTA section
https://live-tennis.eu/en/itf-women-live-ranking
Any idea what this is? Jodie Burrage is ranked at 39, Emily Appleton at 135. Does it lead to some ITF year end finals that hasnt been disclosed?
Anyone with any insight??! there doesnt appear to be anything about it on the ITF website so is it just something the live rankings folks have come up with?
Is it just based on ITF level events below a certain level (explaining why no sign of higher rated Brits who play the ITF circuit). It isnt an age thing as some of the players in the list are in their late 20's...
Well there will be, but this appears to be the first website to produce a listing.
Explanation for the transition tour is on the ITF website (if you can make any sense of the information provided)
Thanks - I was familiar with the Transition Tour and how it works, I just hadnt realised they were in a position to actually create rankings from it yet, and to be honest it is hard to fathom what the rankings actually mean...when Emily Appleton is 105th, what is 105th in line to and where does it get her or not as the case maybe!
