RE: GB Player of the Month

How do we vote? Or do we just type our 1st, 2nd and 3rd on here?  Or has everyone already voted and I've missed the party??

Thanks Optimist! Yeah this thread is for ongoing discussion and nominations then I'll conduct separate poll to collate votes and also keep a month by month record on who wins etc.

So this thread can move onto March now, clearly not much action yet and probably a quieter month than February overall!

So in March we appear to have Jo Konta, Sam Murray and Katy Dunne left in ladies singles and Brydan Klein and George Loffhaegen in mens? Am I missing anyone- some of the ladies threads lose me as there is so much detailed chat!

You're correct on the ladies - plus Tara and Sam in doubles semis.

Bryan is in singles and doubles, despite playing 3 matches last night. (Australian daytime of course).  George has lost his singles, probably since you posted that summary.

Just to summarise, our players of the month in 2020 so far are:

January - Joe Salisbury
February - Heather Watson

To recap, it is suggested all 12 monthly winners go into a final end of year poll. I am not sure if it is likely that a player may not actually win a monthly award but could have a player of the year level season, but suggest if anyone jumps out like that through their "body of work" for the year, that we could add to the (up to) 12 monthly winners with one or two "at large" wild cards if needed.

So I'll get the March nominations moving with a return to the winner's circle for Brydan Klein. I realise theres a long way to go this month, but let's get a stalking horse up there.

First nomination, therefore, Brydan Klein

And let's add Sam Murray to that in the interests of fairness.

So March nominations to date

Brydan Klein

Sam Murray
