Interesting...
Is there a junior comp in the region next week?

Not at Ms. Raducanu's level; just a G3 in China, and a G4 in Korea (she's not on those lists anyway).
There are no GA/B/1/2 through at least the end of April, as the scene is all about Euro Clay.

Interesting is right.

Was wondering why Emma had withdrawn from a few clay junior events.

Good luck to her.

Not a strong qualifying draw, but there are 3 rounds. I'd expect Emma to qualify.

Emma is a 15yo with a JCH=49 so has the advantage over her older opponent.

FQR: Emma RADUCANU (GBR) UNR v. Siqi CAO (CHN) [q7] 1046 (CH 765, Sep. 2015)
Cao, now 19, was a good junior (JCH 41) but has struggled to make consistent progress in the pro game.

An amazing place to start! I am suprised she didnt go for 3 weeks in Sharm but a pretty interesting trip never the less.

Good luck

The toughest 12 points on offer in this weeks 15ks (0.1304) by comparison Sharm the most straight forward at 0.0743 again converting 7 to 12 potentially very difficult in China.

If your going to test the water - might as well try the deep end. I suspect her choice might be itinerary based - good luck smile
