Property developers and the death of non league football clubs

I'm off to see Worthing v Bath. Worthing not made first round since 1999. Should be a crowd of nearly 2K

Yep we are all Villa fans. That was back in 2015 watching Wimbledon Qualifying in her Grealish shirt (when he was no 40!), amazing to think of what Dan & Jack have been through to get to where they are now!

Just back from Cray Valley Papermills thumping Enfield 5-2. I think we are ball no 74 in the draw on Monday. 5 games in & we are in the last 128. Hopefully we dont get Carlisle away!

Great result, congrats Oakland! Another level 8 team made it as well but I cant recall which it was!

Sheppy also in our league got a draw and take Billericay back to the Isle, they have a cracking chance of progressing always get a very decent crowd (>700) in their stadium (made out of containers).

We got our second biggest home gate (579) only beaten by that at our Vase SF home leg v Canterbury City.

Ramsate was the other one to make it through. Good luck to all . Marine from level 7 also made it.

Worthing made it as well. Played really well. Crowd of 1800 helped by no Brighton game

Great Draw for Cray Valley at Charlton - a real money spinner

On the other hand Worthing have an awful draw at Alfreton, which is a dump and are poorly supported.

Marine will fancy their chances at home to Harrogate.

It's plastic, tiny, three sided, quite intimidating and will be full -2000 capacity

Went to my first ever women's match today, Wolves vs Flyde which is a top of the table clash in the 3rd tier. Enjoyed it although finished 0-0 there was a lot of chances. Nice to just park outside and stroll up and pay cash.

Saw a star in the future in Flyde keeper Khiara Keating, on loan from Man City. Only 17, one shot was heading for the top corner not only did she save it but actually caught with a superman dive, amazing. Her handling was perfect and has a massive kick. Will be playing for England in a few years I'm sure.

Two years after this third tier match Khiara Keating is now Man Citys number 1 keeper (ahead of two England internationals) and has just received her first England call up for the Nations League matches later this month.

Sheppey won their replay and join Cray Valley Paper Mills and Ramsgate from level 8 in the first round proper.

Sheppey have Walsall at home - presumably that will be on TV? Id hope Marine and Harrogate may also be on TV as a possible upset? Gulp.

That is an absolutely cracking draw for Sheppy. The Isle is an interesting place but their football club has gone from strength to strength & their committee so self effacing. We played them the last game of the season effectively a head to head for the last play off place but a draw would mean Ramsgate sneaking through. Had a real fun afternoon behind the goal chatting to a couple of their committee members despite the result. Both Ramsgate & Sheppy are community based sustainable clubs regularly getting gates around the 700 or greater mark. CVPM not so (so many clubs near by Charlton, Welling, Phoneix, VCD, Cray Wanderers, Erith & Belvedere all within a couple of miles of Eltham) gates 150 ish last season but lets hope the publicity really helps.

Too see three Isthmian SE teams in 1st round proper is testament to the quality of the league they presently sit 9th, 12th & 16th its going to be a real bun fight when they all start playing some league games. Cant believe I am going to miss the games as will be out of the country with work in a pretty isolated bit of Pakistan, missed Hamlet v Carlisle in the cup (which was gutting) doing something similar a few years back so wont be doing that again
