Katy and Gabi are also teaming up and playing doubles together for the first time, at least on this Australian tour, and are the 2nd seeds. Their first round singles and doubles are all up tomorrow in the early hours.
Gabi breaks to love to lead *4-2 and with that I'm going to bed. Both are big favourites now to progress, so hopefully I wake up to 2 good / safe results.
I'm not sure if they have hawk eye here, but I was following it on a bookies website and it went from 15-30 to 0-40, so I assume it must have been a successful challenge or overrule or something.
Gabi got a look at her next singles opponent (McPhee) - given the score here, that may be useful intel
R16: Taylor/Dunne (GBR/GBR) [2] 772 defeated McBryde/McPhee (AUS/AUS) 1612 2-6 6-3 [10-3]
QF: Taylor/Dunne (GBR/GBR) [2] 772 v. (Q) Russell/Whitehouse (AUS/AUS) UNR

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.
Being repetitive so deleted most, but glad to see Katy and Gabi progressing relatively serenely today singles and doubles, even if it obviously took them a set to work out what each other was doing in the doubles. Suspect Annie K is increasingly keeping an eye on the fortunes of this pair.
