QR1: (q3) Cameron Norrie WR 115 (CH 110) vs Filip Peliwo (CAN) WR 182 (at CH)

The winner of that will play (q8) Denis Kudla (USA) or Brayden Schnur (CAN) in the FQR.

Cam's match is 3rd up on court 'Cancha 4' with play beginning at 4 pm local, 10 pm GMT, so will be due in the middle of the night UK time but at a more decent hour for any TCU Frogs taking an interest

The qualies draw is as weak as the main draw is strong.  Presumably more of the likely qualies players are going to Indian Wells for the Challenger

Chance if getting through for cam if he can regain some form

Kudla beat cam in November in knoxville Challenger in 3 sets. Will be tough but hopefully cam will have learnt from that match.

Despite dubai having significantly higher prizemoney, acapulco has 7 top ten players versus 1 in dubai and 12 top 20 total versus 2. Doubles entry much stronger
Outside of the seeds it's pretty equal but quite startling difference

Dubai still normally manages much better fields. Last year's top 3 seeds were Murray, Wawrinka and Federer. This year they are Dimitrov, Pouille and Bautista Agut. Not the field they would have expected for the dosh they are putting up.
