I presume that as Naomi presumably has aspirations in qualifying for the main IW event, then travelling on from Mexico would be inhibitive to that effort, also you get acclimatisation and court practice on the same courts as will be used in the PM Q.

The incumbent crop not yet ready to "go gentle into that good night"
Welcome Ace Ventura
(bit disappointed you didn't take the chance to use: That [set] was a close one ladies and gentlemen, of course in every contest, there must be, a loser. Lew-Who, Za-Her!)

14 Aces, and 93% first serve won, but only 39% first serves in (pretty much identical number across both sets). That's not a workable formula. Boserup is up on serve %, down on won %, but her second delivery is helping her more than is Naomi's

Haha.
Naomi just can't seem to get any sort of run going so far this year. It's one Q win then defeat and so on. Ideal opportunity last week indoors, but couldn't get through the first round of quals.
She is up an early break again here though, let's hope she can take advantage this set. The ace count is still high.
