We had better luck here last year, 4 wins & one qualified from 4 entries.
QR1: Chloe COMPSON (GBR) UNR lost to (qWC) Daniella DIMITROVA (BUL) UNR 2-6 0-6
QR1: Ella TAYLOR (GBR) [q12] 1181 defeated Laia CONDE MONFORT (ESP) UNR 6-4 6-0
QR1: M J CHANGWEREZA (GBR) UNR lost to Nelly MEZAN (SWE) UNR 2-6 3-6
QR2: Ella TAYLOR (GBR) [q12] 1181 v. Gloria ALOGO PIQUERAS (ESP) UNR (=CH)
Ella's opponent, Gloria, will be the youngest opponent a GB has faced since the start of 2017.
At 14 years and 29 days, she is ten days younger than the previous youngest, and we must be approaching the absolute minimum possible under the current rules for juniors in senior events.

I believe the age eligibility criteria is reaching 14th birthday at the start of the main draw, so Gloria had a few weeks to spare !
Yes, that's the number I had in mind, too. Amazingly, this was already her third pro event of the year! She played her first event on Feb 6th, which would mean that was just 17 days after becoming eligible.

The 16 year old Bulgarian is proving more than a handful. Ella's serve is doing too little work (46.2% 1st won, 16.7% 2nd won - only one point won on second serve, 1/6)
2-6
