I'm not sure if Emily has played with Kat (since I doubt many call her by her full name) before but they've got off to a good start winning their first match on a MTB 6-2 3-6 10-6

Kawa has never played with EWS. In her eleven years on tour (she started The Pro Circuit at 14), the only Brit she's ever played with is Harriet (once, in Japan, in 2015)
EWS has never had a Polish doubles partner (or a Katarzyna, for that matter).

In 2017 Emily began her season with three weeks in Sharm; weeks 6, 7, 8.
She went R32, F, WIN over that stretch.

She is on course to match that performance 2-6 *1-2

But, here's hoping Emily does match last years pattern, and that finals and titles are next on the menu.

Not bad for first outing of the year, but probably should have taken it to 3.

Bit unlucky with the draw, but as others have said hope the pattern of last year repeats!

Well, I thought that Emily and Kat might be playing Ma Talbi in the SF, who is much younger than she sounds, but instead they will be up against Cengiz/ Helgo [4], a Turko Nordic pair.
