Apparently, there's one on the Isle of Harris (Bunabhainneadar), which seems even more unlikely.

A good two weeks in general for Emily French Caribbean island hopping. Next week she is on the qualifying list for the Florida 25k clay event, where Katie S is in the main draw, and then at the moment is listed on the acceptance list for a Spanish 15k clay event two weeks after that... In Mallorca no less, so back to the holiday islands...

 Venue for a home 15K ?  -  www.skye.co.uk

Might be a problem when someone hits a 100mph serve and it lands behind them wink

Oh, I think Skye would be brilliant. And what's a little challenge like that. One can always get creative. I mean if the wind gets too strong, both players can stand on the same side of the net returning their shots as the ball boomerangs back to them winkbiggrin

I have to spend quite a time on Skye and I have yet to find a tennis court there.   Please let me know if you know of one.

Double top sleuthing, Telstar!
I prefer the rugged Harris one to the manicured Skye one.

Good stuff

Many will know that the Isle of Harris is not actually an island in itself as it joins on to the bigger Isle of Lewis to the north, so clearly Lewis is similarly not an island in itself.

And up in Lewis :  tennistonic.com/court-club/197145/Bayhead-Park-Public-Stornoway-Eilean-Siar-United-Kingdom/?map=1

So maybe initially play one half of the draw in Harris and the other in Lewis.

Yes, that might be possible! I love that Isle of Harris court setting, wonderful to have an Outer Hebrides 15k tournament! smilesmile

Thank you Telstar.  I have learned something.  Whether it is worth taking my tennis racquet up there on the off chance it might be still and dry is another matter.  I was really hoping for a nice indoor one, but realised that was wishful thinking.
