This tourns should be banned, this is a 250, and has the field of a challenger. Stop making third world countries having ATP tour events just in the name of diversity.

Is it not fair that some of the local players get a chance to test themselves at a higher level and earn a bit of cash before they have to traipse around the rest of the world at great expense for the next year?
I don't believe it's down to diversity, just spreading the tournaments out a bit.
Well, I just am glad that they made it into the QFs - good stuff!
And I suspect that the reason the ATP wants tournaments in India is that it would love to make a major entry into a potentially extremely lucrative market, and this is a way to do so. Equally, there are presumably people in the major cities who would like to be part of building that market up. Benefits to local players may also be involved - but I do not think that the ATP operates primarily based on sentiment or the interests of those outside the top 50.
