QR1: (q3) Heather Watson WR 75 (CH 38 in January 2015) vs Danielle Lao (USA) WR 217 (CH 193 in September)

3 qualifying rounds. The other seed in Heather's bracket is just a 2017 US Open QFist ( 6th slam singles QF ) and former WR 15 - Kaia Kanepi.

The new season - it's nearly here  biggrin

13 points for a Q1 win - which is what Heather has last year, but it is a non-counter right now.

Good stuff.

May Hev continue on better than England did after winning the toss in the opening test in Brisbane and reaching 127 for 1.

Though England have found something in Melbourne. Now that would be a good place for Hev to really come good !

QR2: Heather Watson WR 75 (CH 38 in January 2015) vs Misaki Doi (JPN) WR 120 (CH 30 in October 2016)

H2H 4-0 to Heather including a qualifying match. First 3 in 2011/12. Last one R1 in Monterrey 2016, 6-4 6-7(0) 6-3, with Heather going on to take that WTA International title.
