Quite the difference between the halfs of that draw. The top half will have 3 Wc's and 6 Qualifiers compared to the bottom half(which contains Alex) that will have 1 WC and 1 Qualifier.
It must be a constant balance in Alex's career to keep pushing his body (when it is injury prone) whilst playing well. I can remember a few great runs followed by long lay off's.
Alex definitely got off to a slow start and went on to lose the 1st set 6-2. But he has stormed back to take the 2nd set 6-1.
Will be interesting to see how much he has got left in the tank for a 3rd set after a long (but very successful) fortnight in the lead up to this week.
Looks like Alex lost the 3rd set 6-4. Still, an awesome couple of weeks for him and plenty of points on the board to lay a solid foundation for the first half of next year. Hope he enjoys a well-deserved rest now for a few weeks.
