You'll probably have to ask Anne to get her cameraphone out and plonk it down one end of the court. That's likely to be the best livestream on offer.

Kanepi, Martic, Vekic and Babos have all withdrawn so this should be a cakewalk for us.

Three actually, Helen. Must top the group against Portugal and Estonia, then beat the winner of group C on Saturday (Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia and Sweden). Most of the top players seem to be absent, but we are at full strength :)

I wonder why there are groups of three when they could have promoted more from Group 2 to fill the gap

Because you never know how many European teams are going to be relegated from the World Group each year.

A salutary warning to take no result fro granted here: Ostapenko loses to Cagla, Latvia and Turkey split the singles 1-1

Going to the BBC Sports page right now, you wouldn't know at all that this event was getting underway. Not good from the Beeb. They must have momentarily forgotten their keenness to promote womens sport.

There is a link on the BBC tennis page to the FedCup website, though it is not that obvious. And yes no article or heading on the subject.
