QF: Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine (FRA) & Barnaby Smith UNR (0+1507) vs Shinnosuke Hiramatsu & Christian Hirschmüller (JPN/GER) UNR (0 [but a CH of 1309 in September last year]+1195)
Find it very strange that Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine doesn't have a doubles ranking - he's used to (think he has a CH of 1360) but hasn't now.
But he's still a junior (just) and ranked 24 (CH 18) and has been very much focused on his junior career (which is strange in itself for a French player). (Although his singles ranking of 1256 isn't too bad).
A very handy partner for Barney, though, and a good 'companion' of a similar age - I do think it's hugely beneficial for your youngsters to play doubles with a range of different players, to make friends on the tour, to get some outside experience - the UK pool is so small.
