Laura R. has had a relatively good time of things in regards to getting WC draws.
Here is a list of all GB players that have played 15 or greater matches in 2017, and their WC encounter rates:
Now, one of Laura R's WC draws was actually against Sara Errani, so that wasn't especially good fortune. That sort of holds true for everyone though e.g. one of Heather's was against Ekaterina Makarova etc. etc.
Laura R. has also had 4 of her 5 WC encounters come in the first round of a given event which, at 80.0% is the highest percentage for any GB player this year with 3 or more WC encounters; of which, there are 14 such players.

Four aces in a row, six in the set, no DF despite only getting 52% of first serves in (and winning 75% on second serve). Impressive, fingers crossed she can maintain it.
I know we would love to see more victories for Ms Robson and am sure she wants more for herself. But whatever the results, I really admire the way she keeps going on, and I very much hope she is enjoying herself and the companionship of her various colleagues.
Some good form, some good luck, and we are quaranteed a qyarter-finallist, as Ms. Dunne goes through to meet Ms. Robson.
Katy only on court 22 minutes, 6-1 RET
9 points each so far, 16 assured for the winner of the all-GB tie.
