Scott & Jonny could do with going deep in this one and in Bangalore. As they have quite a few points left to defend before year end. Jonny 90 and Scott 72.

Jay is a break up in the third but worryingly is taking a MTO.

Left ankle problem for Jay who was really hobbling towards the end. The standard of play from both players was appalling (a really difficult match to watch) even before Jay's injury, but he showed great tenacity to come through. Hope the ankle isn't to bad.

With Jay still to have 42 points to come off this year Brydan is the only one of the two with an outside chance of making the Aussie Qualifying. 60 more points would take him to about 240. So outside chance. I see he's down for the Indonesian 25k the week after the 2nd Indian Challenger. Is the cut off after those points would go on?

Was it a left ankle problem or was it cramp? He was reduced to serving underarm at times in the final set

Yes. Indonesia 25K points would add on 11/12. The Aussie Open qualifying cut-off will be the 18/12 rankings.
