Jazzi Plews

Every now and then a couple of people (LordBrownof / Mervatron ??) ask what has happened to Jazzi.  She went to Baylor last year but did not play very much and had disappeared from their roster this year.  However, she is now shown as a student-coach.  Her bio, below, says this change of role is due to a career-ending injury.  I have not seen 'student coach' as a title before but a 'graduate coach' is someone who has been a student athlete and coaches for a year after their bachelors in exchange for funding whilst they take their masters.  Usually a student with a career-ending injury is funded to complete their bachelors degree in any event.  Maybe Jazzi has decided to follow her father into coaching now a tennis career is no longer open and has asked to be involved in this role whilst she finishes her studies. Wishing her every success in the future but can't help thinking about what might have been.

Thanks Optimist. I have asked a few times because her trajectory as a 13 year old was really impressive. Such a shame about the injury - I hope she's enjoying the role and has found a way to live her dream.

Between Jazzi, Robbo and Eli Dean our most promising young women haven't had much luck injury wise cry
