Mannarino is having a good year. He may not have been seeded here, but he's top 32. Not sure a loss to him is a particular sign of weakness ... though that 6-0 final set might be.
L56: Kyle Edmund WR 47 (CH = 40 last October) vs Jiri Vesley (CZE) WR 62 (CH = 35 in April 2015)
Kyle leads the head-to-head by 1-0 (first round of last year's Miami Masters, 6-4 5-7 7-6(5)). Cilic in the next round, if he wins.
L56: Aljaz Bedene WR 50 (CH = 45 in November 2015) vs Paolo Lorenzi (ITA) WR 38 (CH = 33 in May)
The 35-year-old Italian leads the head-to-head by 1-0 (last 16 at Umag earlier this year, 5 & 3). Alexander Zverev in the next round for the winner.
The head to head does only provide ATP results and so it is encouraging that when they met on hard courts at the Lexington Challenger this year Aljaz beat Lorenzi. That being said I am far from convinced that Aljaz is fit enough to be playing at the moment and I fear a first round retirement.
L56: Kyle Edmund WR 53 defeated Jiri Vesley (CZE) WR 62 by 3 & 2

L32: (4) Marin Cilic (CRO) WR 5 (= CH) vs Kyle Edmund WR 53
There is no head-to-head.
Sums up Kyle, against weaker opposition, eg ranked 50-60 and lower, he can really bully them with his forehand, but against anyone top 20, he really struggles.

... to win.
Some of the scorelines and indeed performances for quite a lot of the time ( while in tough competitive mstches ) haven't been exactly struggles,
Though yes crossing that line would be good. A CH 15 win at this stage is becoming a bit of an anomaly and well time to right, and winning is quite important.
