Also Luke's singles being affected again as being in the doubles semis in Tiburon means he misses out of qualies for the 2nd time in a row. It's a shame that Luke and also Jonny Omara at the end of 19 appear to have given up on that respect. Both certainly capable of playing at a higher level.

*****

He could well face Freddie in the FQR...

Cam is the 8th seed, as in Tiburon, and the winner of his match will play the winner of Brydan's in R2. Liam is also in the bottom quarter, as is Cam's opponent in the Tiburon final, Tennys Sandgren, who is the 2nd seed, again as in Tiburon.

L32: (PR) Alex Ward WR 408 v (6) Darian King (BAR) WR 158 (CH 106 in May)
L32: (8) Cameron Norrie WR 165 v (WC) Deiton Baughman (USA) WR 708 (CH 341 in 2015)
L32: Brydan Klein WR 234 v Jan Satral (CZE) WR 254 (CH 136 in 2016)
L32: Liam Broady WR 204 v Mitchell Krueger (USA) WR 182 (CH 169 in May) (*)

(*) H2H 1-3 - Liam won 3 & 1 in the Winnipeg Futures QFs in 2014 but Krueger has won all 3 of their meetings in Challengers - 1-6 6-4 6-4 in Savannah in 2015, 3 & 4 in Calabasas in 2016 and 2 & 4 in Aptos, also in 2016.

Thanks JonH, I had wondered if there was a link.  Does young Seb do the "happy scissors" like his dad used to?

Hopefully it's worth quite a lot to the two of them smile

Seb Korda is also junior ranked 26 (JCH 20). He beat Jack Draper in the US juniors last month (but lost his next match). Won the Roehampton Juniors Doubles title and made the semis at Junior Wimbly, in dubs.

Jay would have squeezed into the main draw based on his ranking 3 weeks ago if he had been on the entry list, though not if the q1 seed had also entered. Just collect the extra ranking points for qualifying then

Imagine he was injured rather than just thinking he wouldn't stand a chance or that it would be a tough match mate
