Unfortunately it is going to be hard for Emile to pick up a point, as her first round match is against a seed. Eden gets a 15 yr old WC. It would be good for her to get a few wins...
L32: (5) Eden SILVA (GBR) 584 vs Maria Ines FONTE (POR) UNR 15yrs
L32: (Q) Emilie LINDH GALLAGHER (GBR UNR 17yrs vs (4) Romy KOELZER (GER) 580
In the doubles Lily Ghodrati and Emile are playing, with different partners.
If Eden struggled to defeat an unranked WC, I fear her next match is going to be much tougher...
L16: (5) Eden SILVA (GBR) 636 vs Maria Joao KOEHLER (POR) 847= (CH:102 Feb 13)

I'm not sure that I agree that "taking advantage of much needed match practice" is the same thing as "struggling", although they may appear the same in the scoreline.

I'd call it understandably struggling in a first match for a while. I kind of doubt that she intended to stretch both sets out so far. Hopefully she can make a likely required step up.
